LeoVegas Announces Sponsorship Agreement with British comedy channel UKTV Gold

Leading online casino operator LeoVegas announced it has agreed on a sponsorship with British comedy channel UKTV Gold. Under the terms of the agreement, the Stockholm-based online gambling provider would become a sponsor of the channel’s Gold After Dark series. The latter are among the most popular series on the UKTV Gold channel and showcase some of the grittier, adult comedy programs on British TV.

According to the terms of the sponsorship deal, LeoVegas will sponsor the Gold After Dark series that started on April 8, 2017 and running until April 7, 2018. The comedy show broadcasts will feature frequent commercials of the LeoVegas brand, each one lasting for ten seconds. Gold After Dark showcases darker comedy programs, including popular sitcoms the likes of Black Books, The Mighty Boosh, and Spaces. The series of late broadcasts air at 11 pm local time every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The sponsorship would include the latest ad campaign of LeoVegas in the United Kingdom, which features the brand’s mascot, Leo the Lion, and popular English actor and comedian Michael Joseph Pennington, better known under his professional moniker Johnny Vegas.

The comedian and the likeable lion mascot assumed the role of Double Brand Ambassadors for LeoVegas. The said campaign was launched in February with the goal to convey the message that the web-based gambling operator, much like the lions in Africa, is the “King of mobile casinos.”

The ten-second commercials, on the other hand, aim at creating a connection between “the King of mobile casinos” message and the UKTV Gold being “the home of entertainment.” Of course, LeoVegas is also looking to showcase its range of products and attract new players.

The ads that are featured in the campaign for the Gold After Dark sponsorship inform viewers of the extensive catalog LeoVegas is home to. The operator’s portfolio comprises over 700 games as well as live casino and sportsbook offerings. Each of the ambassadors showcases different game titles at the same time.

The Swedish mobile gambling provider was granted a local license by the UK Gambling Commission which came into effect as of July 23, 2015. The operator has won various accolades throughout the years including EGR’s Mobile Casino Product of the Year in 2014.
